The only available workaround is to use separate modules for input and output or to use Matlab code to implement your control system. Unfortunately, the Simulink drivers do not support this. I get an error when I try to create a Simulink feedback contorl system that uses both an input and an output block. Use InstaCal to configure your module for single ended or differential inputs. If you are using a different physical module, you must re-run InstaCal with the module you are using and then RESTART Matlab after you are done.Įverything is hooked up properly but the data makes no sense. My module is connected but Matlab / Simulink doesn't recognize it.Įach module has a unique id number programmed inside. You should also use InstaCal to configure ("Install/Configure") and test ("Test/Analog") your DAQ module before trying to access it using Matlab. After running InstaCal, you must add a USB-1408FS board to the board tree using the "Install/Add Board." command. You must also load and run InstaCal from the CDs provided with the USB DAQ module. You must load the driver provided in the "Getting Started" section. I get the following error message when I try to use the DAQ in Matlab: Or visit and search for "USB-1408FS" for answers to other FAQs. Type "help daq" to list the commands in the data aquisition toolbox. What other data acquisition commands are available in Matlab? Follow the instructions in the readme file to add this block to your Simulink library. Simulink block which makes your simulation run in approximate real-time. If this directory does not exist, you must install the DAQ toolbox in MATLAB before you can continue. Measurement Computings USB-3100 Series USB-based voltage and current output DAQ devices offer, 4, 8, or 16 analog outputs, 16-bit resolution, up to 100 kS/s output capability, digital I/O, counter/timer. $MATLAB\toolbox\daq\daq\private\mwmcc.ini IF your version of Matlab is earlier than 7.3, The text in this driver file must be APPENDED to the following file where $MATLAB is the directory where matlab is installed: Sample Matlab source code to read 800 samples at 8KHz from one of the analog input channels.
